Chile stretches down the coast of South America, and is one of only two South American countries that do not border Brazil. With roughly 4,000 miles of coastline on the Pacific Ocean to the west of the country, it is bordered on the east by the Andes Mountains. Chile enjoys all four season throughout the country, with summers ranging from December to February, and winters from June until August. Because of the country's relative isolation, Chilean culture is a mesh of Spanish and indigenous influences.
