Session XXIX Summary:

Win'tyr, who has still not joined--or been offered to join--the Order of the Drogans--interrogates Autumn, asking why she killed the hobgoblin when he was so vehemently against it.

The issue is ignored, and the Drogans search for loot. They find coins and a magic short sword.

Coltaine takes the sword, then talks Win'tyr into returning to the first level of the keep for Round 2 with the jelly monster that nearly killed the entire party. He tells the elf that there is a body up there that may be his cousin, valiantly lying to his face for his own devices.

The Drogans navigate back to the double doors on which has been written, "Stay out. Really."

Brimming with a lack of confidence, they open the doors.

Coltaine briefs the Drogans on a plan of action, which immediately falls apart as the slime erupts from the water and strikes Coltaine. Kinda like in that movie, Deep Blue Sea, when Samuel L Jackson gives that rising speech during their darkest hour, only to be gobbled up by the shark just as he's finishing.

Coltaine manages to chop into the slime once before he falls in combat on the second round of battle.

Autumn is next to fall at the start of Round 4.

Rekoj sends the slime flying against the back wall, permitting the Drogans a momentary reprieve from its devastating attacks, while Zook stabilizes Autumn and Win'tyr drags Coltaine out of the room and stabilizes him.

Zook is taken down to 5 HP before he manages to flee, and on Round 7, Rekoj drags Autumn out of the room. Win'tyr closes the doors on the slime.
