Session XIX Summary:

The Drogans explore the grotto until they approach a cave chamber, inside which they see a large, amorphous glob of ochre jelly.

Autumn immediately assumes this innocuous jelly is an evil monster with hostile intentions and stabs it. Rekoj doesn't wait to see how the jelly reacts before attacking it as well.

Surprise surprise, the jelly defends itself after the Drogans have come into its house and poked it with sharp objects. Its attacks leave an acidic residue.

A dozen rats drop from the ceiling, cornering Coltaine and Autumn.

Rekoj cleaves the jelly in two. The two halves now independently move and attack.

By the end of round 8, Coltaine takes down the last rat, and acid burns Rekoj down to 9/45 HP.

Rekoj kills one half of the jelly, but on round 10, the other half takes Rekoj down.

On round 11, acid burns Rekoj down to -6/45 HP.

On round 12, acid burns Autumn down to 1/29 HP. Autumn, with 1 HP, acid eating away at her skin, and rat bites all over, stabs into the ooze with both katars, and it bursts into a puddle on the floor.

Acid burns Rekoj down to -11/45 HP. He fails his first death save.

On round 13, acid burns Rekoj down to -16/45 HP.

The race is on: what will kill Rekoj first? Failing his 3rd death save, or the acid?

The goliath fails his second death save.

Zook's first aid stops the acid from further damaging the warden.

On round 14, with Rekoj just seconds away from death, Autumn stabilizes Rekoj, but Stephen is sad because he was hoping the goliath would die so they could bury him under the dead rats. The session ends.
