Hey guys and welcome to Swami Studios or the Pokemon Fab Five, I am your host Moonlightswami!! I occasionally do lets plays, but my strength is pokemon battles. Most of my experience comes in 6 v 6 singles wifi battles from Pokemon X and Y, but now that Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have come out, Im posting battles from this game, along with expanding my horizon’s into the Pokemon Battle Spot. When I play pokemon, I tend to stay away from the strongest of the strong pokemon, like some legends, and most pokemon in the higher smogon tiers, but Im not against using them. I prefer using pokemon like Marowak, Glalie (my favorite), ditto, etc. because I find it a lot more fun. In terms of what I will be playing, I will be doing Free For All’s, Singles battles both in normal 6 v 6 format, and in the battle spot which is 3 v 3. Along with that, I will be playing battle spot double battles, and the battle spot special battles. The special battles have various seasons with unique rules for each block of time, which can make them really fun or really frustrating, depending on what the season holds. Last year, there was the first 6 v 6 battle spot format, with the rules indicating only Kalos born pokemon (Gen 6) and no pokemon can hold an item which means no mega evolutions. This was my first experience with the Pokemon battle spot, and I loved it. The differences between battle spot and normal wifi battles is staggering however. 3 v 3 is a much more difficult style to play than 6 v 6, because you are limited in pokemon. This limitation prevents you from always having a proper matchup with the opposing person’s pokemon which can cause obvious problems. Because of this, I am struggling and very well could struggle in the battle spot for some time until I gain enough experience to impose my will with my pokemon. Because of my struggles, I hope you guys will enjoy my time posting battles from the Pokemon Battle Spot, along with Pokemon Special Battles. I can’t make any promises on how frequently I will be posting these battles, but I will promise that I will post them as frequently as I can, because I really enjoy them, and enjoy posting them for all of you guys. Most likely, all battle spot will be live, and if I can I will try to facecam them as well to give you guys that little extra in terms of video quality.
