Make: Inventions, a new video series that goes hands-on to explore of the history of invention. In each monthly episode inventor Steve Hoefer recreates the most interesting inventions from the world's patent archives. Going from the inventor's original drawings to finished creation, each show explores the how the invention works, the problems it solves, and the design decisions the went into its creation. Along the way he deals with inaccurate drawings, misleading patent descriptions, and other surprises to hopefully end up with a working creation.
