The first 18 experiments set the tone, but season two laid all of the groundwork for the show's four-year run. Jory and Jon were joined by an unseen sidekick, Ezra Horne for the duration of their sophomore season, filmed in a specially constructed "laboratory" that would be the show's home for many years to come.
