We're going to be doing some gameplay of The Long Dark on Interloper Difficulty Mode which recent came out during the Vigilant Trespass update. This is, by far, the hardest survival game mode I've ever played without the game simply just cheating to kill you. Join me in Ep 1 of our playthrough we survive our first day and night in a world that straight up wants us dead. With no feats to equip thanks to my previous data not being saved when the feat system came out, we're starting from scratch and scourging for every little thing we can possibly get in order to last. I'm not the best TLD player ever, but I'll try to share some tips along the way, and I'll certainly be looking for some in the comments! We need a few key elements if we want any chance at survival. A heavy hammer, a hacksaw, and damn it, if we can find it, a can opener. These items are often taken for granted on the normal modes, but on Interloper mode, they are extremely rare. Even a sewing kit is a pain in the ass to find, and in this mode is a life saver. Can we become self sufficient by getting a makeshift knife and hatchet from the forge? Maybe, but first...we actually need to get there...since we started on the other side of the world in "Pleasant" Valley. God I hate Pleasant Valley... less
