Pokemon X and Y Sololocke VERSUS (Youtube)
View descriptionHide description
The Pokemon X and Y Sololocke Versus with Zypher634 is going to be great! Watch Zypher and I travel through Kalos with the challenging Sololocke rules, and try to race to the finish. Since this is also a versus, whoever beats the game first, wins. On the contrary, if you lose the challenge, then you also lose the versus against the other player. The rules for this Solo Run Nuzlocke challenge are listed down below, and prove to be quite a challenge. We know you’ll love it, so be sure to also try it on your own as you wish and let us know how it goes. Thanks for watching, and enjoy! :)

Sololocke Versus RULES –
- Normal Nuzlocke rules apply, with a twist described below (must capture first pokemon of the new route after the gym leader, must nickname all caught pokemon, if a pokemon faints, the game is over).
- This is essentially a combination Solo Run (only use one pokemon per gym) and Switchlocke (must swap out party after each gym)
- In summary, we will start with the usual starter pokemon then continue with ONLY that pokemon through the first gym. Immediately after the first gym, we must swap out the Pokemon we beat the gym with for the first capture we see after the gym and level it to the same level I was at. For example, if we have a level 18 Golduck after the first gym, then we hit the first route after the gym, we catch a Bulbasaur, we must immediately level the Bulbasaur up to level 18 and continue onward through the second gym, where the process repeats itself.
- If we choose, we can go back to other routes for my encounter, however no repeat pokemon are allowed.
- We will be using the Rare Candy and Unlimited Master Ball cheats to catch pokemon and level them up quicker, just to save time.
- We will be playing with 8 ‘lives’ (AKA, I can die 3 times) for this playthrough, however you may use as many or little of these ‘lives’ as you wish since the games level curve isn’t designed for a solo run.

***NOTE – we alter the total ‘lives’ to 10 in the middle of the playthrough*** less
