What is a nuzlocke?

A nuzlocke is a challenging way to play a Pokémon game with a set of rules (these can be changed, although these are the rules WE will be playing with)

~ You may only catch the FIRST Pokémon you encounter in each area (usually divided by routes with few exceptions)

~ Once a Pokémon faints, it is considered DEAD, and must be deposited into a death box in your PC

~ All Pokémon are to be nicknamed to establish a closer meaning between the trainer and its Pokémon

~ If all members of your party faint on a battle, it is considered "Game Over", as you lose the nuzlocke challenge

~ Shiny Clause: If you encounter a shiny Pokémon, you can catch it

~ Dupes Clause: If you encounter a Pokémon you already HAVE (alive or dead), it does NOT count as an encounter

What is a Taglocke?

A taglocke basically consists of one person starting the game, playing up to a certain point, and when they reach a pre-set area, they send the file over to the next person.

Once they send the file over, the next person continues the challenge from where the original left off, and so on and so forth until the challenge is complete. less
